Dear Devotees - We wish you  a happy Krishna Jeyanthi
Let us welcome Lord Sri Krishna and receive the blessings of our Guruji Amma and Guruji

1. The Divine Message - Message From Poojyashree Shree Amma - The Ultimate Liberator Bestowed By Lord Shri Krishna!
RadheKrishna

Guruji explained in Trivandrum in Sudhama's Charitram that the Lord considers serving the Guru as the important thing and that He is satisified and pleased only by this work. Although in Gita, Krishna himself said that those who offer a leaf, a fruit, a flower or water will be accepted by Him, He never stated that He will be pleased by these offerings. So starting this divine month of August, which also is blessed to receive Krishna's birthday, let us serve our Guruji and Guruji Amma and receive the special blessing of Lord Sri Krishna.

2. Mahatmas - New Bhaktacharitras Each Month

India is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages.

RadheKrishna! Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many advantages in listening to baktha charithram.

Bharath is a very special land and contained within it are sacred places and rivers. Devotees born in this sacred Bharath ensure that they propagate bhakti in all corners of the country. This is the precise reason why the fragrance of bhakti can be felt all around our country. Our beloved Guruji has a special reverence for Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and in the coming issues, we will enjoy his bhakthi and the path of devoution that he had set an example for us to follow.

The only thing to remember is to chant the names of the Lord and we should forget the rest. Duruva was able to attain the Lord because he forgot his parents, his brothers and the fact that he was a prince and hence was able to attain the Lord. The child had nothing but Om Namo Vasudeva to remember and hence was able to enjoy the Lord. Dunruvan forgot everything including the day, the seasons and the only thing that occupied him was the thought of meeting the Lord.

If we don't develop such intense longing then we will never be able to enjoy the Lord. This longing should be the same as what our body wishes to enjoy whilst in youth. Is it possible to enjoy the Lord and it certainly is possible as the same was experienced by those who got associated with Nimayee. This is because the soul was pointing them the presence of the Lord.    The soul's agitation is different to that of the mind and can be experienced as such. Hence those associated themselves with Nimayee lost themselves in devotion.

One day Nimayee instructs Gadhadara to proceed to the house  of Advaityacharya. When they reached the house of Advaitacharya  where he was doing pooja for Krishna with intense devoution. Seeing the state of Advaitacharya and his devoution, Nimayee became unconscious and fell down. Realising that Sri Krishna Himself has come as Nimayee, the age old Advaitacharya applies tilak on Nimayee's forehead, offers a garland for him and does Aarthi for his feet.

RadheKrishna.Hinduism is an ancient religion. All the things that have been spoken in Hindu religion can be applied in practical life. Although in 21st century till everyone can apply this in his or her daily life. The aim of Hindu religion is to provide total happiness to everyone at all times (or any point of time). The essence of Hinduism is told in "Bhagawad Gita". In order to realize what is said in Bhagawad Gita it is a compulsory (must) to have an unconditional faith on Bhagawad Gita. So many people have benefited in their lives because of the (by reading) shlokas of Bhagawad Gita. In Bhagawad Gita, Bhagawan Shri Krishna has told the way to lead a happy life in such an easy way that even a normal layman can easily understand. The slokas are so simple that anyone can understand and use it practically. In the coming months we will enjoy the 12th Chapter of Gita and the devoution towards the Lord as explained by our  beloved Guruji..

Karma has to be performed by everyone and all the time as well. Sleeping itself is work and so is listening speaking and cooking. All these actions are called karmas and without these there is no life. At every stage starting from chilhood to various stages of adulthood, different types of work is being performed by us. Even a person in coma does the action of lying down as is and breathing! Hence karma cannot be avoided and the Lord instructs Arjuna to perform all the actions for Him.

If we begin to perform all the karmas or actions for the Lord then these  itself will in turn be considered as meditations. Hence we should never have any grudge or complain when doing the karmas. Summer season existed much before we were born and hence we should not be upset if the summer is hot and that the electricity is cut off. We should accept these as is and by complaining we dont achieve anything and that summer will not turn all of a sudden into a snow filled season. If we begin to accept then peace will set in and these things will not affect us as well.

Hence the Lord declares that even if do all the work as His wish then it is possible for anyone to attain Him. There was a devotee who used to stitch shoes and he did it as Panduranga's wish. For this great deed, the Lord Himself stitched shoes for  the devotee and used to sing and dance with Him.

RadheKrishna  RadheKrishna..
Perumal Thirumozhi was as a result of Kulasekara azhwar longing to see and enjoy Lord Ranganatha. The Thirumozhi also results from the bhakthi of the azhwar towards Rama and Krishna and he begins with his longing for Lord Ranganatha. Everyone of us have so much of longing for the worldly affairs but the longing and the love for the Lord alone will help us achieve a good state.

Kulasekara azhwar enjoys Lord Ranganatha as Adisheshan in the first two pasurams or songs. Then he enjoys the Lord as enjoyed by Brahma. But the way Gopis enjoyed the Lord is considered to be supreme. This is because the not so intelligent Gopis were fully aware of the strengths of the Lord and believed that Krishna would save them. Of all the avatars,  Krishna avatar is considered to be the best and one that can easily be enjoyed. This was followed by Kulasekara azhwar enjoying how Narada and Tumburu enjoy the Lord. He continues further and sees how the devotees are enjoying the Lord and what items are safeguarding the Lord. Then the azhwar decides to mingle with the devotees and experience how it would be to be part of that group and enjoy the Lord.

The number of Jivas or souls is constant and we take one form or the other of the 84,00,000 types of bodies that are available for the soul. Hence the ignorant speak about population control without knowing that the jivas cannot be created. The Lord is calculating each thing and doing it. We only know now that blood gets regenerated and hence it can be donated but the Lord knows of this when He created us. We dont know what will happen when but the Lord has prepared everything for all situations.

Initially people travelled in horse carts and then they invented petrol and started going in vehicles like cars. But now we are afraid that we will run out of petrol but the Lord has a plan and will produce it at the appropriate time. So why did we not invent petrol before and this is because the Lord know the appropriate moment for introducing various things which will benefit us. Nobody should suffer in this world and everybody should live happily

Today we complain of lack of water but the trees develop their roots and reach out for the water beneath surfaces like cement etc and all these are happening at the direction of the Lord. Look at the beauty that the air we breathe out (Carbon Dioxide) is good for the plants and the air that the plant breath out (Oxygen) is good for us and such is the beauty of God's design. There are many such wonderful things that can be described

 The pasuram continues next month..

Bhagawan takes avatar in each and every yuga mainly to safeguard the bhaktas and then to destroy the rakshasaas who trouble his bhaktas. So Bhagawan comes to this bhoomi from paRamapadham just for the sake of his bhaktas. Hence we come to know that bhaktas are very important to the Lord. Whenever Bhagawan comes to rescue his bhaktas, the other fellow people also reap the benefits. Our guruji amma gives high respect to all the bhaktas. Hence our Vedhanaadham's every issue will be dedicated to one bhakta. This issue we are dedicating to one of the great eternal devotees of the Lord namely 'His Highness SwathiThirunaal Rama Varma'
  • The great king was born on April 6, 1813 in the Kulasekara dynasty, became the ruler in the year 1829 and attained liberation in 1846. His mother was Gowri Lakshmi Bhai
